Amidst a lot of Expectations, the film Oxygen is finally in the theatres today. The film stars Gopi Chand, Rashi Khanna and Anu Emanuel in the lead roles. A lot of struggles have been faced by the makers in the process of releasing the film. The film was supposed to release last year but it has got postponed and is releasing today. The film is directed by Jyothi Krishna and his father A.M.Ratnam is the producer of the movie. Check out the review of the film here.
Story:
Krishna Prasad (Gopichand) comes from the US to marry Shruthi (Raashi Khanna), the daughter of Raghupathi (Jagapathi Babu). Krishna Prasad saves Raghupathi family from the rival Veerabhadram (Shayaji Shindey). Some twists and turns reveal that Krishna Prasad has a past which is connected to Raghupathi family. What happens after that reveals the story of the movie.
Performances:
Action hero and the aggressive star Gopi Chand has lived up to his tag. He has performed very well in the film and was completely outstanding while doing the action sequences. The hero has done brilliant in terms of all the aspects. The leading ladies Rashi Khanna and Anu Emanuel are also good and performed to their limits. This is the first film for Anu Emanuel and we can easily see that from her performances. The senior actors like Jagapathi Babu and Chandra Mohan are good. all other cast supported the key cast very well in the film. They have done a good job.
Technical aspects:
The cinematography by Chota K Naidu is impressive. His way of framing and colouring is nice. The editing by S.B.Uddhav is good and neat. The music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja is okay but the background score he has given is ultimate. The production values maintained by A.M.Ratnam are grand. The writing by Jyothi Krishna is good and on a whole the film is technically sound.
Verdict:
Oxygen movie has got an interesting point. The movie is certainly going to be the talk of the town. The routineness and commercial way of story telling in the first half of the movie is a major drawback. The second half of the movie is different and is focusing more on the content. Except for the average first half, the movie impressed big time in the second half. The director tried to come up when an interesting message in the movie which is worth sharing. On a whole, the movie is a one time watchable flick.
