Amidst a lot of expectations, the film Gruham is releasing on 17th of this month in the theatres. The film stars Siddharth in the lead role and it is expected to be a huge come back for him in Telugu after a long time. The film was made in the horror genre and it was written and directed by Milind Rau.
It also stars Andrea Jeremiah in the female lead role. Siddharth himself liked the script and came on board as a co-producer. He also co-wrote the script along with the director. The film was already released in Tamil and Hindi languages and was declared a huge hit. Let us check out the review of the film here.
Story: Krish (Siddarth) is a neuro surgeon living with his wife Lakshmi (Andrea). One day, they find new neighbours in the house next door. Slowly, they get to know each other families and in the process, their arrival becomes a huge problem for Krish and his wife. What is the problem that they faced? What is happening in the house next door? forms the rest of the story of the film.
Performances: The film has decent performances for everyone. There are limited characters in the film but all of them who were seen in the roles have left a positive impression. Starting from Siddharth, everyone did their best and Siddharth especially proved his worth once again and will remind us of his hit films. Along with Siddharth, Andrea also played a good role in the film.
She is just perfect as Siddharth's wife and both Siddharth and Andrea's on-screen chemistry looks refreshing. Atul Kulkarni's character came out well and he impressed in his limited role. Suresh who was seen in another was also good and made his presence felt. Anisha Angelina Victor who played the role of Jenifer also impressed us with a bold performance in the teenage role. All of these actors have done their job well and made their presence felt.
Technical Aspects: The film is too good in terms of the technical aspects. There are a lot of things that are to be appreciable in the movie. Starting from Cinematography every single craftsman has given his best. Cinematography by Shreyas Krishna is nice and impressive. The editing by Lawrence Kishore is good. His cuts are sharp. The music by Girish is pleasant and the background score is outstanding. The production values of the producers are rich. Every single technical aspect has been taken a lot of care and in the end, the film was technically sound.
Verdict: The film Gruham is having both thriller and horror elements in equal parts. The film has limited characters but every single character has something to tell. The film was narrated well from the beginning but however the pre-climax could have been conceived in a different manner to give a better impression in the end.
Apart from that, there are not many complaints in the film and it is certainly a must watch the film. Unlike the regular horror films, there is no deviation in the form of comedy or unnecessary commercial aspects. The film is true to its genre and it haunts us for a lot of days. Go watch it.
