Despite scoring a blockbuster like Rx100, hero Karthikeya is yet to create a market of his own. The failure of his last film Hippi has further tampered his career graph and to set it right, he has come up with new film Guna 369. Directed by Arjun Jadhyala, this movie was released worldwide today and we bring the review of it.
Guna (Karthikeya) is a happy go lucky guy whose sole aim is to graduate in B.Tech and make his dad's dream come true. Everyone in his colony loves him for his helping nature. One fine day, Geetha (Anagha) shifts to the same colony and falls in love with Arjun after witnessing his kind nature. Things turn upside down when Guna tries to help one of his friends and lands in big trouble. A series of events lead him to jail in the murder case of Gaddhalagunta Radha (Aditya). What's the connection between Guna and Radha? Who killed Radha? What happens to Guna's family? To know these answers, you should watch the film.
Kartikeya Gummakonda is definitely the show stealer of this film. The actor has been showcasing variations in each of his movies and has succeeded in grabbing the attention with his outstanding performance in this movie as well. Despite getting a challenging role, Karthikeya has pulled it off with ease and delivered his best performance. Anagha will leave an impact on the audience not only with her beauty but also with her performance. The actress looked pretty and promising in the film and delivered an honest performance in the film. Aditya Menon's energetic performance added more strength for the film. He has gone under the skin of the character and portrayed it well. Mahesh Achanta delivered a decent performance in the movie.
Arjun Jandhyala has prepared an interesting storyline for this movie. The director has not only concentrated on the action sequences and the strong story but will also give equal importance to both comedy and romance in the film. He has handled the story really well and has narrated it in a beautiful way. Production values by Anil Kadiyala and Tirumal Reddy are lavish. We can see that the producers have invested decent amounts and have not compromised in terms of quality. Music by Chaitan Bharadwaj is the highlight of the film. He has scored some amazing tunes for the film which made it, even more, easier for the audience to connect with the storyline. Cinematography by Raam is too good. His camera angles are worth appreciating. Editing by Tammiraju is clean and neat.
The movie has got an interesting story. The way the director handled it is beautiful. The audiences can relate to the story of the movie. There is a lot of freshness in the content. The movie starts off on an interesting note and the first half of the movie is filled with impressive sequences. The second half is a blend of emotions with lots of action sequences. The interval twist is good. There are some engaging sequences in the second half which will excite the audience. BGM and actors can be considered as the plus points of this film. Guna 369 is definitely an engaging and entertaining movie.
