Story:

One day, he confronts with a criminal lawyer Seshu(Sampath) and badly injures him. While Seshu stars targeting Kanna and his father (Rajendra Prasad), Kanna, in return, falls in love with Seshu’s sister Amrita(Pragya Jaiswal). What difficulties Kanna face to get his love of life and how he faces them forms the rest of the story.
Performances:
Rocking star Manchu Manoj has once again proved what a power house performer he is. The way he goes about his mass role as an aggressive guy in the film is superb. He puts in his best and plays his part convincingly. His dialogue delivery is too good. Pragya Jaiawal does a good job and has good screen presence. Her look and her clothes perfectly fit to the role. Rajendra Prasad got a meaty role. Kota does a decent job. Sampath Raj puts in a commendable performance as Seshu and impresses with his act.
Kaasi Viswanath, Praveen, and Satya, Rao ramesh, Raja Ravindra don't have much to do but in their given characters they have excelled.
Technical:
Music of Gunturodu is impressive as all the songs sound good and don't disturb the flow of the movie. Background score is also nice and elevates the film to a decent level. Editing could have been better and many unnecessary scenes can be easily trimmed in first half. Production values are superb and cinematographer Siddharth Ramaswamy succeeds in showcasing rustic locales of Guntur. Pace of the movie is good. There are some dialogues that have worked very well.
Director S.K. Satya has does a good job with the film. Had he increased a bit of entertainment, the output would have been even better.
Plus Points:
Second half
Fights
Songs
Dialogues
Minus Points:
Lack of entertainment
Narration
Analysis:
Gunturodu is a mass entertainer which is clearly aimed at the B and C centeres. Undoubtedly, Manchu Manoj gives a commendable performance and excelled in the full-length mass role. First half of the movie is an average and it has a few dull moments. But the twist before the interval gains momentum. The rain fight before the interval is too good. The second half is engaging and will impress the mass audience. The father and son thread and hero's confrontation scenes with villain have come out very well. The movie is pepped up with rich production values and some good dialogues.
The audience may get deviated with some unnecessary scenes but the scenes between Manoj and Sampath have good intensity.
The film has many elements which will enthrall the mass audience.
Final verdict : Gunturodu is a fest for mass audince.
