Guppedantha Prema marks the debut of director Vinod Lingala, actors Sari Ronak and Aditi Singh.
Let's see if they made a successful debut movie or not.
Story:
Yuvan (Sai Ronak) is an engineering student who looses his parents in an accident. Yuvan always wants to love a girl and get married with her. One day, he meets Sandy (Aditi Singh) and befriends her. Soon their friendship turned into love. But due to unexpected events both Yuvan and Sandy got separated. He wrote a book titled Tholi Prema dedicating to Sandy. A girl named Swara (Aishwarya) falls in love with him after reading his book.
Who is Swara? Why did Yuvan and Sandy separate? Will Sandy come back to Yuvan's life again? Forms the rest of the story.
Performances:
Sai Rohak has performed well but he stills needs to develop a lot in diction and expression. Aditi Singh, the Mumbai girl has lost nearly 30 kgs for this film. She had put in so much hard work for this film and also watched many of the Telugu love films to learn Telugu language.
She has a good screen presence but she should upgrade a lot in expressions. Aishwarya received some brownie points compare to Aditi Singh and Sai Rohak as she impresses everyone with her expressions.
There is nothing much to write about others in the film. They are ok with their performances.
Technical:
Navaneet Sundar's music is below average and two songs have become major speed breakers. But the Sanjay Loknath's cinematography is very impressive. Editing of the film is not up to the mark. Production standards of the film are neat.
Direction of the film is good in parts. There is no depth in the love track, some of the scenes appear quite stale.

Analysis:
Director Vinod Lingala, who worked as associate director for Madhura Sreedhar, failed to bring in conviction to his narration.
The opening scenes in Guppedanta Prema are interesting but after half an hour the graph of the film keeps dipping at many places. The director should have taken better care about the screenplay. The romantic track lacks chemistry and depth. Several scenes between Sandy and Swara are irritating. The comedy scenes fail to evoke laughs.
Even the climax scenes are very bad that they ensure that the audiences leave the cinema hall with a grin. On the whole, there is nothing new in Guppedantha Prema and its better to watch it on the television.
