Oviya Helen, the big Boss sensation is making her debut with this Telugu film and is all set to impress everyone with her cute performance. The film is the official remake of a Kannada film titled Simple Agi Ondh Love Story. Rakshith Shetty played the lead role in the Kannada version. He instantly falls for Shruti and loves her. They start talking about each other and shares their past love stories. The next day morning, the cops arrive and arrest Abhiram because of the complaint given by Shruthi.
Why did Shruthi complain about Abhiram? What made cops arrest Abhiram ? Forms the rest of the story of the film.
Performances: After a long time, Tharun is back with an interesting story. He impressed everyone with the looks and performance. He is the same as we see him in the films during his success form. He did well in the emotional scenes especially in the pre climax. The new heroine Oviya is okay and impressed in parts.
She could have concentrated more on her styling and the makers could have selected a decent voice for her dubbing. There are not many characters in the film and the entire story runs on these two characters. Both of them are good in parts.
Technicalities: The film is technically very good. The film has good cinematography by Christopher Joseph. The camera work is impressive and both the actors looked beautiful on the screen. The music scored by Srinath vijay is partially good and the background score is also okay.
The background score failed to elevate some key romantic scenes in the film. The editing is okay and the production values maintained by Ram entertainments are grand. The dialogues have become a little over board as there are too many punches in the movie. The mood of the film was perfectly maintained by the DOP as well as the music director. The run time is a bit high as few unwanted scenes could have been chopped off.
Verdict: On the whole, Idhi Na Love Story has nothing impressive to keep the audiences engaged when the movie. Lack of proper story is a huge minus point for the film. The movie looked like a half baked product as the director narrates three different love stories in the movie.
Tarun is back on the screen after a long time but he hardly impressed with the content. More concentration on the script could have given a chance to the unit to provide an entertaining romantic drama for the audiences on the occasion of Valentine's day. Finally, the movie fails to impress and Tarun's waiting for success continues.
