Vijay Antony has come up with his new film which is a family drama titled Annadurai. This is the title for the Tamil version of the film and the Telugu version of the movie is titled as Indrasena.
The film is directed by G.Srinivasan and it stars Vijay Antony in a dual role. The film stars Diana Champika and Mahima in the female lead roles. Story:
The film reveals the story of sibling rivalry. Indrasena goes to jail due to an unfortunate incident. By the time he returns, he finds his brother Rudrasena transforming from a sports teacher to a gangster. How did that happen and for what forms the story of the movie.
Performances:
The performances from all the lead actors in the movie is good. Everyone has performed well and have presented themselves in an impressive way. Vijay Antony who played a dual role in the film has showed different variations and he did justice for the dual role he has played.
Mahima and Diana are the female leads in the film and both the heroines are looking good in terms of performances and looks. The other actors like Jewel Mary, Radha Ravi, Kali Venkat and Nalinikanth are good in their parts and they impressed everyone. The rest of the casting is good.
Technical Aspects:
The camera work by Dill Raj is good and he has showed his mark in it. The editing and music is done by Vijay Antony himself and he is very good with both of them. Vijay Antony's background score is nice and he is brilliant off the screen as well. The dialogues for the movie are good and the production values maintained by the producers are rich. On a whole, the film is sound technically.
Verdict:
The movie Indrasena the the sacrifice that is made by a brother to save his sibling. This point was dealt in an interesting manner giving a lot of scope to the lead actors to perform. The movie has a story line that was outdated but the screenplay designed for it is interesting.
There is also the issue of Nativity in the movie which will dilute the interest of watching the movie. Except for the action and the decent performances from the actors, the movie is okay in parts. It is worth watching once.
