The most awaited film of the year has arrived. NTR-Koratala Siva combination, Janatha Garage has hit theaters amidst huge hype. As Koratala delivered two back-to back blockbusters , the expectations of audience on this combination are on high.

Story:
Satyam (Mohanlal) is the owner of Janatha Garage. Apart from vehicles, humans also can be repaired here. Janatha Garage, which comprises 6 members, has become the only solution to many helpless people who are facing problems. Anand, who grown up as an environmental researcher, is an IIT graduate. He loves and cares for nature and goes any extent to save the environment.
How Satyam and Anand meet each other and what is their relation? Does Satyam has any past? How will Janatha Garage change after Anand's entry? How Anand takes on the people? To find out the reasons watch the big screen.
Performances:
Jr NTR is his usual best and is as good as ever. He is excellent as the guy trying to save the nature. His stylish look and strong characterization and superb dance moves are a treat to watch. Mohanlal is one of the best actors in India and he has proved again with this. He is one of the pillars to the movie. He played his role with ease and his character gave much weightage to the film.
Nitya Menen and Samantha have done their bit as required. They provide some visual relief but their characterization have not given them much scope.
Kajal has set the stage on fire with her item number and she sizzled in it. Other actors like Sai Kumar, Unni Krishnan Mukundan, Sachin khedkar, Brahmaji, Benerji and Rajeev Kanakala put in decent performances.
Technical:
Janatha Garage has high technical values. Cinematography is superb and the film has wonderful visuals. Rockstar DSP managed to give a top-charting album once again for Jr NTR. All the songs have been shot well and look superb on screen. But the editor could have tightened the film a bit. The choreography is another highlight of the film and NTR gets to do some mind blowing dances.
Production values are not that good and it appears the producers have not given Koratala Siva full freedom.

Analysis:
Koratala Siva delivered two blockbuster hits- Mirchi and Srimanthudu. Srimanthudu went on to break all the non-Baahubali records. If one go with the same expectations, the film will surely disappoints you much. But For a change Koratala fails this time. Janatha Garage is a routine revenge drama which has no uniqueness.
The major strengths of the film is Jr NTR and Mohanlal and their dialogues. Cinematography is an asset to the film and DSP's music glues the audience to their seats.
The first half of the film is entertaining and the story gains momentum before the interval. It seems Koratala took a lot of care in the first half as it is little fast and engaging comparing to second half. But the second half does not have the pace that one expects from a young tiger film. It is not that entertaining though it sets up the mood.
On the downside, after a certain point of time, the film gets predictable and it is excruciatingly slow. Not just that the story is predictable, even the film lacks comedy and entertainment quotient. Another point where Koratala disappoints is with his bad screenplay and his dull narration in the second half. The climax of the film is also not good and has been stretched a bit.
Overall, the film has enough sentiment, action, dialogues, a strong social message and NTR-Mohanlal's extraordinary performances. You can easily give Janatha Garage a shot with your entire family but keep your expectations in check.
The fate of Janatha Garage is purely depends on how the people of B and C centres receive.
