Boyapati Sreenu is definitely one such director in the industry, who has different and unique style in portraying mass characters on screen. From Bhadra to Sarrainodu, almost all his films have an equal amount of action and drama. Boyapati worked with star heroes like Nandamuri Balakrishna, Jr NTR, and Allu Arjun. For the first time, the director joined hands with a young and talented hero Bellamkonda Srinivas for a love story. Unlike his previous movies, he opts a simple and classy title 'Jaya Janaki Nayaka' for this project. Let's see whether this film bagged him another success or not and what actually the story of Jaya Janaki Nayaka.
Gagan (Bellamonda Srinivas) has unconditional love for his family. His father Chakravarthi (Sarath Kumar) and brother (Nandu) are the most important people in his life. One fine day, he meets Sweety (Rakul Preet Singh) and both fall in love with each other. Suddenly, one incident completely changes the life of Sweety. Gagan enters the scene to resue Sweety. Who is Ashwith Narayana (Jagapathi Babu)? What Gagan does to save Sweety? What is the relation between Ashwith and Sweety? These elements form the crux of the story.
This is the third movie of Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas. Boyapati completely studied the strengths and weakness of Bellamkonda and presented him in that way on screen. The actor did a fanastic job and gave his best in action and dance sequences. He gave life to Gagan character and the emotional dialogues in the climax are top notch. Rakul will be seen in two different shades, one as a girl to next door and other as a depressioned girl with lot of problems. She did a great job. Jagapathi Babu looks stylish than ever and he once again proved that no one can beat him as an antagonist. Nandu character is good. Sarath Kumar impressed the audience with his acting. After a long gap, Vani Vishwanath acted in a movie, but unfortunately, she didn't get a good role.
Technical team :
The production values are top notch. Devi Sri Prasad gave fantastic movie and during some scenes, his BGM elevates the story. Veede Veede song is superb. Rishi Punjabi's camera work needs special mention. Catherine attracted the youth with her special song. Boyapati once again back with a powerful story.
It is a love story. How Gagan saves Sweety is the main plot of the story. This story is completely in Boyapati style. Whatever the story he chose, it definitely have a strong action elements in it. He did the same for this movie. From the beginning itself, the story drives you in an emotional journey. The screenplay is fantastic. The way the director written the action sequences definitely needs a pat on his shoulder. He did justice the concept he has taken. The action episode that shot in Hamsaladevi is one of the biggest highlight in this movie. After a long time, Sarath Kumar acted in a Telugu movie and he did justice to his role. The family audience will definitely like his role. Though it is a love story, the director focused much on the action sequence between the hero and villain than the romance between the lead pair.
Final Verdict :
Jaya Janaki Nayaka is definitely for mass audience.
