Karthi's Kaashmora has hit the theaters across the world on Friday. Let’s see how it is.
Kaashmora (Karthi) is a well known exorcist who makes a business out of people’s blind faith. Under the pretext of being a famous black magic priest, he along with his father Vivek earn money by tricking the people. They work as volunteers in a ashram. One fine day, Kaashmora ends up in an old fort which is haunted by a real ghost. He encounters a real supernatural experience there. In the fort, a warrior of Vikrantaka Kingdom Raj Nayak's s ( Karthi ) spirit lives and waits for someone to release.
How Kaashmora and his family deals with Raj Nayak's spirit? Who is Raj Nayak and what is his connection with Nayantara? forms the rest of the story.
Performances
Karthi is a pillar of the movie. He is a director's actor and his proved his versatility with this film. His coming timing has to be given a special mention. He is pith perfect in two different characters. He evokes many laughs as Kaashmora. Nayanthara performed well in her short role. Vivek carries off with his usual ease.
Others including Sri Divya have done their justice to their roles.
Technical
Songs and backgrounds score are irritating. Many feel that songs are unnecessary and don't add anything to the story. Dialogues barely have an effect on the proceedings. Graphic work is good at sometimes and other times pale. The producers have invested huge money for Kaashmora but could not get the best output. There is nothing new in the plot and it's a drag fest. There is no entertainment in the second half and director fails to keep things interesting with his predictable and slow narration.

Analysis
The main highlight of the movie is Karthi and his brilliant performance. The biggest negative of the film is it's run time which will test the patience of the audience. Apart from the main cast, others are not that familiar to Telugu audience. The film begins on a promising note, but the director fails to sustain the suspense and once the plot is revealed, the audience loses interest in the climax. The first of the film is entertaining compare to second half. None of the scenes in the second half create any interest in the audience. The snail-paced narration irritates the audience to the core.
Towards the end and the climax is very boring and many wouldn’t even care what happened anymore. The costumes used in the movie appear fake. A lot of scenes could have trimmed down in the second half to engage the audience.
Barring Karthi's performance and some comedy scenes, Kaashmora has nothing much to draw the audiences.
If you ignore the predictable plot and excessive length, you can watch it once.
