Raghava Lawrence is not only known as a versatile actor but also a popular director who has delivered superhits with the 'Kanchana' series. Touted to be a horror comedy, the third installment titled as 'Kanchana 3' is going to come in front of the audience and the fans couldn't wait for more. The teaser and trailer of the film have increased the expectations on the film. Raghava Lawrence himself is helming the third installment as well. Bigg Boss Fame Oviya is one of the new additions to the 'Kanchana' series. As both Kanchana movies turned out to be hit, the expectations on 'Kanchana 3' are also very high. Let's see how far the film has succeeded in impressing the audience.
Story: Raghava (Raghava Lawrence) is haunted by spirits duo Kasi & Rosy. Who are they? Why did they choose Raghava? What is their story? Forms the story of the movie.
Performances: Raghava Lawrence's performance is undoubtedly one of the major selling points for this film. We can say that Lawrence himself has carried the movie with his outstanding performance. As usual, Kovai Sarala and Devadarshini's characters will evoke some good laughs. Oviya has showcased her good acting skills. Nikki Tamboli and Vedika also delivered decent performances. Nedumudi Venu, Soori and Sriman made their presence felt. Kabir Duhan Singh did convincing job. The rest of the cast also made their presence felt.
Technical Aspects: With 'Muni', 'Kanchana' and 'Kanchana 2', Raghava Lawrence has proved that he can not only scare the audience but also make them connect really well with the film. He repeated the same in this movie as well and the audience can connect to the story and Raghava's story narration is perfect. Production values by Sun Pictures and Raghavendra Productions are very high and producers have not to compromise in terms of quality. Music by Doopaadoo is awesome. Keeping the songs aside, they have given catchy tunes and astounding BGM for the film. Cinematographer Vetri Sushil Choudhary took utmost care in the camera angles and will not disappoint in the film. Editing by Ruben is decent.
Verdict: 'Kanchana 3' can be considered as a blend of all the 'Kanchana' movies and some new elements. As there are three heroines in the film, we can say that the glamourous content is very high in the film. Some of the regular comedy scenes will evoke good laughs whereas the mass and horror scenes felt boring. Kovai Sarala, Sriman, and Devadarshini scenes will impress the audience. The interval scene is handled well. The flashback has a different story and is different when compared to the other parts. As usual, the climax is very loud and violent. Overall, 'Kanchana' franchise fans will like the film.
