Five years ago, this combo of Surender Reddy and Mass Maha Raja created a tsunami making Kick the most entertaining movie. Yet again, both of them have teamed up again to make an exceptional entertainer.
Nandamuri Kalyan Ram as producer, under the banner of NTR Arts, Kick-2 hit the theaters today. Rakul Preet Singh played the lead opposite Ravi Teja in the flick.
There is an anticipation that the movie would give double kick as the title suggests. Let us see how this combo worked this time...
Story Line:
Ravi Teja played the role of Robin Hood who's a very selfish person. Robin Hood's first preference is always his "comfort" and he doesn't step back to do anything for his comfort.
Robinhood's role is characterized as the son of ‘Kick’ Kalyan (Raviteja) settled in USA. In the process of constructing a hospital in Hyderabad, Robin Hood locks horns with Ashish Vidyarthi who's a real estate guy.
In India, Robin Hood falls for Chaitra( Rakul Preet). Ravi Kishan played the villain Solomon Singh Thakur and is shown as a nefarious person who rules the lands.
The villagers troubled by Solomon SIngh Thakur decide to bring Robin Hood to protect them from the crimes of Solomon. What happens next must be seen on the screen.
Roles and Performances:
Ravi Teja is asually on an active mode. Mass Maha Raja have given a 'kick' ass performance. His charecterization is very perky and octane. Bramhanandam- Ravi Teja comedy is rib achingly good.
The whole first half is driven only with the comedy by Bramhanandam.. He was quite entertaining in the role of Pandit Ravi Comedy is the main theme of the movie must say.
Rakul Preet Singh is seen in a very glamourous role. She looks so adorable and charming. Rakul justified her role well. Director Surender Reddy played a cameo in the movie in the beginning. All the other actors have justified their roles.
Technical Aspects:
Direction wise the movie is good. Surender Reddy have elevated the comedy scenes very well and extracted the most entertaining elements in the first half. After Race Gurram, Surender Reddy was expected to give a mind blowing output but Kick-2 somewhere disappointed.
Screenplay is too good. Music gave up to cause a magic. Songs were all ok ok...BGM gave up to sync with the narration. Thaman's music was merely a boredom except for the song "nuvve nuvve". The visuals in the song are extraordinary. The action sequences are intense at the end.
Production values are too good and Kalyan Ram is to be appreciated for this.

FilmyBuzz Review:
First half is a little "comfortable" whereas second half is an absolute disappointment. After Race gurram, for the audience who expected a mind blowing project, Kick-2 is a disappointment.
There is nothing much in the movie except Bramhanandam's comedy must say. Can watch the movie once and that too just because of Ravi Teja- Bramhanandam's comedy.
Verdict: Entertaining first half but..Total discomfort... ! No "Kick".
