Story: Kousalya (Aishwarya Rajesh) is the daughter of a farmer Krishnamurthy (Rajendra Prasad). Kousalya aspires to become an international cricketer and score a world cup for the country. Unfortunately, her path to becoming a cricketer is filled with a lot of hurdles. What are they? How did she overcome them? What happens in the end? Forms the story of the movie.
Performances: Aishwarya Rajesh who played the title role in the movie is exceptional. The actress has given her best by carrying the movie on her shoulders. She has exhibited a lot of maturity in the movie with her performance. Natakireeti Rajendra Prasad played Kousalya's father in the film he has given the right support to the actor. The scenes between Aishwarya and Rajendra Prasad have come out really well. Tamil star hero Shiva Karthikeyan played a key role in the film and he has given his best in the movie too. Ravi Prakash is good in his role. The rest of the cast did their best in supporting the lead cast.
Technical Aspects: Kanaa is already declared a hit in the past in Tamil. The same movie was remade now in Telugu. The director Bheemaneni was successful in executing a story that already became a hit. The director prepared an interesting screenplay and tried to engage the audiences well. The visuals by Andrew are impressive and his cinematography has come out well. The background score of the film is good and the music is a big plus point for the movie. The production values of the movie are lavish. KS Ravi Kumar did not compromise in spending money on the film's making.
Verdict: The major plus point of the movie is that the film's story is already tested and gave positive results. The film was a faithful remake in Telugu and the director did not spoil the freshness and essence in the movie. The makers handled the subject so well that they gave a good message by connecting Agriculture and Cricket. Very rarely, do we see a film on female protagonist taking the cricket forward and this is one such movie that will impress everyone! The emotional connection between the father and daughter is impressive. On the whole, Kousalya Krishnamurthy is an emotional story that also delivers a solid message.
