Nani, Anupama Parameswaran, and Ruksar Meer have played the lead roles in the latest Telugu film titled Krishnarjuna Yuddham. This is the third film in his career where Nani played a dual role. Nani expressed high confidence in the success of the film and told that his characterization of both the characters is going to be different. The theatrical trailer has impressed one and all and raised curiosity on the film. Hip Hop Tamizha is the music director of the film. Merlapaka Gandhi is the director. Dil Raju is distributing the film all over. The film released grandly today in India as well as the overseas. Check out the review of the film here.
Story : Arjun, a rockstar loves Subba Lakshmi (Anupama) while Krishna, a Chittoor resident (Nani) loves Riya (Ruksar). At a certain point in their lives, both Arjun and Krishna who are lookalikes cross each other paths and come forward for a cause which involves Subba Lakshmi and Riya as well. What happened then forms the story of the movie.
Performances : The film Krishnarjuna Yuddham is laced with decent performances from every actor. Nani, Anupama Parameswaran, and Ruksar Meer have put their best for the film. They impressed everyone decently well in the movie. Apart from these three, the supporting cast has also come up with their best performances. The actors like Brahmaji, Ravi Avana, Nagineedu and others have given their best for the movie. The rest of the actors made their presence felt in the limited appearances.
Technicalities : The cinematography by Karthik Gattamaneni is not up to the mark. The performances from the lead actors are excellent. The writing by Merlapaka Gandhi is just okay. The editing by Satya G is sharp at points, and the scene transitions are good. The music by Hip Hop Tamizha is excellent, but his background score is loud. Except for the action sequences, the background score did not score much. The production values by Shine Screens cinemas are rich.
Verdict : The film Krishnarjuna Yuddham is the story of two look-alikes joining for a good cause. Its good to see a young director trying to talk about an exciting point called Women Trafficking. When the director has chosen a serious subject, we expect him injecting the core point of the movie from the beginning itself, but the director failed to take the story forward in the first half and introduces the conflict only in the second half. The women trafficking element was only used to elevate the heroism, but no proper ending or justification was given to the central theme of the film. The film has good technical work for everyone, and the production values are grand. Average first half and the okay second half made the movie a below average in the end.
