Story: The film narrates the tale of Kurukshetra battle. While Dharmaraju is being proposed as the King, Duryodhana (Darshan) opposes it. After a series of dramatic incidents, Karna (Arjun) declares Duryodhana as the King. Shakuni starts putting disputes between Kauravas and Pandavas. What happens then? What paved the way for Kurukshetram battle? What happened in the end? Is shown in the movie, in 3D.
Performances: The movie was completely shot in 3D which is a huge plus point. The leading Kannada actors have come forward to be a part of the project. Action King Arjun played Karna while Sonu Sood is seen as Arjuna. Abhimanyu is Nikhil Gowda while Lord Krishna is Ravichandran. Sneha played Draupadi. All these actors have played their parts extremely well. Arjun impressed as Karna and he is at his usual best. He became the major highlight in the casting by coming up with his best. Darshan played his part well as Duryodhana. The rest of the cast is good and they made their presence felt.
Technical Aspects: Director Naganna has come up with grand 3D visuals in the movie. Though we get a feeling of watching an old movie, it won't affect us. The music director has given amazing music and the background score is impressive too. The visuals are really lavish. The camera work is exceptional. The editing is okay. The production values are grand.
Verdict: The story is predictable and hence people lose interest in watching the movie. This was shown on the big screen, a lot of times already. The director focused more on 3D visuals but had he focused a bit on the screenplay, it could have been the best. The pace of the narration is a bit disappointing. The graphics are pale and they were not shot well. Some dragged scenes are there in the movie but the film tries to entertain the audiences. The film is a visual treat for a lot of people who love to watch mythology and historic movies. On the whole, the film is good in parts.
