Story: Rishi Kumar (Mahesh Babu) is a CEO of a big business giant Origin. But his life takes a turn after coming across his friend Ravi's life. Who is Ravi? How did his life change because of Ravi? What did Rishi do then? Forms the story of the movie.
Performances: We can say that Mahesh Babu got a challenging role in this film, but the actor has delivered his best performance. Mahesh is a delight to watch. Pooja Hegde looked gorgeous in the movie. She has not only showcased her glamorous front but also impressed the audience with her captivating performance. Allari Naresh did an impressive job.
He got a meaty role in this film, and he has delivered his best. Jagapathi Babu's energetic performance can be considered as one of the plus points. After SVSC, Prakash Raj and Jayasudha appeared as parents for Mahesh Babu and did their best. Mukesh Rishi delivered a decent performance. Meenakshi Dixit and Ananya made their presence felt. Vennela Kishore will evoke some good laughs in the theatres. Hemanth, Jhansi, and Sameer, etc. also acted well.
Technical Aspects: Production values are very high. Music by Devi Sri Prasad is just average. Only a couple of songs succeeded in grabbing the attention and remaining songs are not that great. Also, his BGM is also not up to the mark.
Though it is not that disappointing, the audience will feel like DSP could have done better than this. Cinematography by K U Mohanan is topnotch. He has produced some bright and colorful visuals for the film. Editing by KL Praveen is clean.
Verdict: Vamsi Paidipally's narration is impressive. He has not only prepared an interesting script but also narrated it engagingly. He has handled all the emotions well in the film and succeeded in delivering the best output. The movie starts off an interesting note.
The energetic performances by the actors can be considered as one of the major driving factors for this film. The entire first half runs on a lighter note with comedy, romance and slight emotions. On the other hand, the interval twist is intriguing. The second half is somewhat serious when compared to the first half and focuses more on the emotional sequences. The press scene and the farmer's scene are the significant highlights of this film.
Also, the way the movie ended is quite impressive and one of the best climax scenes lately. On the whole, 'Maharshi' can be considered as a must watch the film not only for Mahesh Babu fans but also for all the movie lovers out there.
