Manmadhudu 2 is the exciting project which is in the theatres today. Touted to be the official remake of a French movie, the makers titled the film as Manmadhudu 2 to cash the craze that the film Manmadhudu has. Story: Sam (Nagarjuna) is strictly against marriage. He's a love failure and develops hated towards marriage for a reason. But his family tries to get him hitched to someone Sam is dead against to it. But he meets Avantika (Rakul Preet) and everything changes. What did they do? What happens then? Did Sam enter the marriage system? Forms the story of the movie.
Performances: Nagarjuna Akkineni is truly an asset for this film. He breathes life into the character and is a perfect pick for the role. His energetic performance and youthful looks added more strength for the film. Rakul Preet looked gorgeous in the movie. She has delivered an honest performance in the movie and also maintained decent chemistry with Nag. Their scenes together are a delight to watch. Lakshmi justified her role very well. Vennela Kishore will make the audience laugh so hard with his incredible comedy timing. Devadarshini and Jhansi delivered decent performances in the film. Rao Ramesh acted naturally. The rest of the actors also made their presence felt.
Technical Aspects: Director Rahul Ravindran has prepared an exciting storyline for this film. Though there are no unique elements in the story, he has succeeded in making the movie entertaining. More than any other factor, Rahul Ravindran will engage the audience with the entertainment and will give a fun ride for the audience with this film. His pace of narration is also very much decent and will make the audience stick to their seats. Production values by Akkineni Nagarjuna are luxurious. Music by Chaitan Bhardwaj is outstanding. His excellent BGM and music lifted every scene of this film. M Sukumaran has produced beautiful visuals for the movie. Editing by Chota K Prasad is clean.
Verdict: Though 'Manmadhudu' and 'Manmadhudu 2' movies don't have any connection in terms of story, we can say that the common point between these two films will be the entertainment factor as the entire movie will keep the audience engaged. When compared to the second half, the first half is even more fun-filled. Entertainment, Nagarjuna's performances, Samantha and Keerthy Suresh's surprising special appearances and music can be considered as the major highlights of this film. The story becomes somewhat slow in the second half, which will be a minus point. However, there are no significant flaws in the movie, and we can conclude that 'Manmadhudu 2' is worth watching the film for this weekend.
