Story:
Oopiri is a remake of French drama “The Intouchables”. As seen in the trailers and posters, the film follows the life of billionaire Vikram Adithya who is disabled and Srinu, played by karthi, who is employed to take care of Vikram. The lives of Vikram and Karthi are same in terms of the way they live. While Nagarjuna misses his life after the accident, Srinu misses his family. The film revolves around the journey the two take together and beautiful relationship between the millionaire and his care giver. How did Vikram stand by Karthi and how Karthi takes care of Vikram forms the rest of the story.
Performances:
Nagarjuna and karthi steal the show. Many would feel that this is Nagarjuna's best performance till date and he has been constantly getting very good roles. He once again leaves a good impression and one gets to see a new Nagarjuna in the film. Karthi perfectly fits into the role of a careless attitude guy. He steals the show along with Nag and he also keeps you smiling all along. Thamannah puts in a decent performance. Prakash Raj has also done a great job and most of the story runs on these four characters. Others including Jayasudha, Thanikella Bharani, Praveen and Ali have done what is required for the roles.
Technical Aspects:
Gopi Sundar’s music is the life line for the film. All songs are good to hear and they are well pictured. Dialogues need a special mention as they connect the family audience big time. The visuals shot in Paris are superb and rich frames are the striking feature of Oopiri. The production values are top notch as the film looks rich and colorful. Editing could have been little crisp in the second half.
Filmybuzz analysis:
There is no doubt that Oopiri is another masterpiece from the King Nagarjuna after "Manam" and "Soggade Chinni Nayana."
A great message about life and love is given in the film and credit should go to Vamsi Paidipally for a flawless execution. His brilliant direction that makes the film a true masterpiece.
He adopted the story that rings well with the class and mass audience. The emotional scenes between Nag and Karthi have been executed perfectly. Selection of beautiful locales is another major plus point for this film. We must appreciate PVP for making such a bold attempt by coming forward to produce a remake of the French film. Probably, the only minus point in the film is the slow pace of the film in the second half.
All in all, Oopiri is the movie where emotions, values and commercial elements have blended well. Beautiful locales, amazing picturization and good music are among the big assets of the film. Nagarjuna's emotional performance, Karthi's careless attitude, good message about love and life make the movie a good family entertainer.
Bottom line: A feel good family entertainer with Hollywood Look with Universal Emotion. You can go and enjoy it with your friends and family. Dont miss..
