The combination of Ram Charan and Stylish director Surender Reddy had created curiosity. The trailer and song promos raised expectations further. With huge expectations, Dhruva has released on Friday. Let’s find out how the movie has fared.
Story:
Dhruva (Ram Charan) and his group of friends are patriotic and sincere cops who set a mission to curb the crimes happening in Hyderabad. Dhruva follows all the crimes in the city to choose his opponent. On the other hand, Siddharth Abhimanyu (Arvind Swami), born with a criminal mind, rules the crime word. He is the Padma Sri award winning scientist. But he is a mastermind of a huge conspiracy in pharmaceutical industry. Dhruva gets to known that Siddarth Abhimanyu is one kingpin who has been spreading social evil and crimes in society. Dhruva makes it is his mission to take down Siddharth and destroy his operations.
Will he succeed in this operation? How will he take on Siddarth? forms the crux of the story.
Performances:
Mega Power Star Ram Charan is in top form with his bulked up body and he is truly a revelation. He flaunted his six pack abs and he completely transformed. This will be one of the most memorable films in Ram Charan's career. His role as a sincere cop is very intense one. Rakul Preet Singh is deliciously comfortable in her role as Ishika. Rakul oozes oodles of oomph in Pareshanura song. Posani Krishna Murali brings a few laughs. Nasar has not much to do.
Navadeep as Dhruva's friend is good. Others have made an impression with their competent acting.
Technical:
Dhruva is shot richly with lavish values. Camerawork keeps you totally hooked to the screen. Hip Hop's music adds to the excitement of the narration. The songs have already made it to the top of the chartbusters. Editing is okay. All the songs have shot very well. Dialogues are sharp. Background score is terrific. Director Surender Reddy have not spoiled the original movie’s content and he made it slick and stylish racy thriller.

Analysis:
The story and screenplay of Dhruva is almost similar to the original movie Thani Oruvan. The movie has many worth scenes to talk about. Ram Charan is perfect in the role of a sincere cop. The cat-and-mouse games between Charan and Aravind Swamy are extremely good. Aravind Swamy is very stylish and suave. He isn’t usual teeth-gnashing villain the scenes between Charan and Aravind Swamy are very interesting. Both are a delight to watch on screen.
Technical brilliance, outstanding performances and terrific back ground score are some of the major highlights of the movie. Surender Reddy should be credited for his flawless execution. Lack of comedy is one of the minus points. All the songs are lavishly shot and they are visually beautiful. The twists and gripping screenplay make the audience hooked to the screen from the beginning to end. The pace of the film slow down a bit in the second half but that does not affect the flow of the story.
Dhruva will definitely set the benchmark for the role of cops.
