Performances:
Ram Charan has lived up to the expectations in the role called Chitti Babu and has portrayed an emotional character in the best way possible. This is undoubtedly going to be one of the best performances from him till date, and he can be proud of what he has done in the film. There is a lot of improvement in the way Charan has dealt his character, and he is sure to grab more appreciations.
Samantha, on the other side played Rama Lakshmi, is beautiful on the screen in the natural role. She brought in her best for the movie and impressed with her looks and as well as dialogues. The chemistry between Ram Charan and Samantha has worked out well. Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Ajay Gosh and others who played the principal roles are right in their parts and gave strength to the lead characters. Anasuya Bharadwaj as Rangammatha is very impressive while Aadi Pinisetti has played his part very well.
Technical Aspects:
Ratnavelu cinematography is the major asset for the movie. The way he played with the colours and the framing is one of the best things that happened to the film Rangasthalam.
The editing by Naveen Nooli is impressive, and the way he has cut the movie is right. Except for some slowness in the second half, the film looks good for the maximum extent. Devi Sri Prasad's audio album is already a hit, and the music director has maintained the proper tempo with the background score as well. The artwork by Mounika and Rama Krishna is exceptional in the film. The production values by Mythri Movie Makers are grand.
Filmybuzz Verdict:
Rangasthalam is a film that released today in the theatres amidst a lot of expectations. The film is certainly an emotion that is not to be missed experiencing. For the first time in his career, Sukumar has come up with a natural story with no logics yet convinced the audiences with the screenplay. The characterisations are the best in the movie and the art work is exceptional. The lighting work from the cinematographer elevated the mood of the movie properly.
Ram Charan did a fantastic job in the film and he is also going to grab huge appreciations for the role he played in the film. All the other actors have put their best for the movie and the writing is decent. The first half of the film introduces the story, conflict and the wonderful visuals of Rangasthalam and the second half of the movie completely focuses on the story.
The second half appears a bit slow when compared to the first half but the way the director ended the movie with an impressive climax sequence and a twist will surely blow our minds away. On the whole, Rangasthalam is certainly a film that everyone of us must watch.
