Manisha Arts is once known for producing some comedy entertainers which were made by director SV Krishna Reddy. Now, they are back once again after a long time with a horror comedy film called Rangu Paduddi. The film was released this Friday and here is its review:
Story:
The story chronicles the lives of two sets of people, one which is of people who are upset with the mistakes they have made in the past (Ali, Jabardast Apparao and Shaking Sheshu) and the other group who plans to go to the future (Dhanraj, Suman Shetty and Heena). A Scientist named Iyer comes to know about their desires.
He tells them that their wishes will come true if they go on a time travel. He assures them that he will make them go into the past and future but also tells that that happens only when the black holes are opened. Meanwhile, he asks them to go into an old mansion called Raj Mahal. Things take a U-turn when both the groups enter the Mahal. What happens there? Is that a spirited mansion? To know the answers, you have to watch the film.
Plus points:
Performances of lead actors
Cinematography
Comedy in the mansion
Direction
Production values
Minus Points:
The whole story takes place in a single location
There is no proper conclusion
Analysis:
First of all, director Shyam Prasad should be commended for taking up a script which is an amalgamation of the concept of time travel and horror comedy. He also dealt it quite well. Producers made sure that the film is made on absolute standards and we can see that on the screen. The comedy scenes work well and the lead actors have performed well. The ending could have been better as there was no proper conclusion.
Verdict:
Clean comedy entertainer
