Producer : Vishal
Music Director : Imman
Starring : Vishal, Sri Divya
Hero Vishal has been trying hard to score a big hit in Tollywood since Pandemkodi and now he arrived with a complete mass movie. The movie has hit the theaters across the Telugu states on Friday. The film is the dubbed version of the Tamil action film Marudhu, which was released in theatres in Tamil Nadu on May 20.
Story:
Rayudu (Vishal) is a daily wage worker who works in a local market yard. He stays with his grandmother Aanama (Leela) and he obeys whatever she asks as she was raised by her. she asks Rayudu to get married to Bhagyalakshmi (Sri Divya). Rayudu agreed to Aanama's request and goes after Bhagyam.
As the days passed on, Rayudu comes to know that a local ruthless goon Rolex Batchi(R K Suresh) wanted to eliminate Bhagyam in connection with a case. Rayudu stands by the Bhagyam and lock horns with Rolex. How will he face Rolex? Why is the villain troubling Bhagyam? forms the rest of the story.
Performances:
The roles like this are a cakewalk for Vishal and his complete involvement is clearly visible in the every frame. Vishal has done a brilliant job in this movie and his performance is a big asset.
He has once again proved that he is very comfortable in action stunts.
Coming to the leading lady Sri Divya, she impresses with her natural looks. She has delivered a very good performance in all the crucial scenes. The chemistry between Vishal and Sri Divya is a treat for the mass audience. Kokkoroko Suri's comedy brings much laughs. RK Suresh makes a good impressions as the villain. Others have excelled in their roles.
Technical:
Imman's songs are good and but full marks should be given for background score. Cinematography is rich and he captures locations of villages beautifully. Pace of the movie is slow in the second half.
Had the editor chopped off some scenes in the second half and emotional scenes in particular, it would have made the film more gripping.
Plus Points:
Vishal
Sri Divya
Action scenes
Climax fight
Minus Points:
Routine story
Slow pace
Editing
Overdose melodrama
Analysis:
Vishal Reddy has once again manages to come up with a complete mass entertainer. The story of Rayudu may be routine but it will definitely hold the attention of the mass audience.
The emotional scenes between Rayudu and his grandmother are ok but they are stretched beyond a point. The director could not able to give punch to the twists as they become highly predictable. The screenplay was having many hiccups. The movie has some high octane action scenes and they go well with the mass audience. Climax scene was executed very well.
Class audience may feel it boring. For those who are looking for a complete mass film, Rayudu is the perfect movie.
Overall, the story is simple but the presentation which was packed with the right ingredients for a mass entertainer.
