Young hero Sumanth Ashwin has earned a good following among the youth and family audiences. After back to back love entertainers, he is coming up with a different film this time. Directed by debutante Manu, Right Right has hit the theaters on Friday. So, let’s see if Ashwin hits the bull’s eye with Right Right.
Story:
Ravi (Sumanth Ashwin), who dreamt of becoming a police officer, ended up becoming a bus conductor. Ravi joins duty as for a bus which travels between S. Kota to Gavita. He and driver Seshu (Kalakeya Prabhakar) develop a good rapport with the villagers of Gavita and they become close with the village sarpanch Viswanadam (Nassar).
Bus gets repair one day and even Seshu was inebriated condition that day. With no option, Ravi takes the steering and drives the bus. But one Deva fell in front of the bus during the journey. Ravi and Seshu left to their village after asking the passerby to join the injured person in the near by hospital. They received shock of their life when they found the body of Deva in the forest.
Who is Deva? Why did he fall under the bus? How will Ravi and Seshu face this situation?. To find out the reasons watch the movie on big screen.
Performances:
Sumanth Ashwin fit the role well and has got very good potential. He puts in a commendable performance in the sentimental scenes.
Prabhakar was perfect to his role and does complete justice to his role. He has quite a good role to play in the film and is a refreshing change from the villan roles we get to see.
Pooja Jhaveri and Pavani Gangireddy are good in their respective roles.
Others like Nassar, Shakalaka Shnkar, Sudha and Rajya Lakshmi pull off their parts effortlessly.
Technical:
Music is average but the background score is good. Editing could have chopped off a couple of scenes to tighten the film. The production values are impressive and all the locations have shown well.
Cinematography is decent. But the main drawback is the slow screenplay. The story is not narrated with enough conviction and had he taken more care on the script, it would have worked really well.
Filmybuzz Analysis:
The major plus point of the film is second half. The various twists and turns that have been showcased in the second half will surely impress the audience. The director has managed to maintain the same tempo till the climax. The film could have been much stronger if the same care was taken to first half. The way the first half runs may disappoint the audience. Many scenes in the first half are half baked and the love track between hero and heroine is not that effective. Though many comedians are there in the film including Shankar, Dhanaraj and Tagubothu Ramesh, they failed to bring right kind of laughs.
Overall, Right Right is a film which has some reasons to be watched. Generally speaking, Right Right is a good thriller genre, but don’t go to watch it keeping your expectations too high. If you are expecting a different film from Sumanth Ashwin, then Right Right will definitely not disappoint you.
