The story of the film revolves around a five crore rupees worth car. The car is named Shamanthakamani. The car belongs to Krishna (Sudheer Babu) and unfortunately, Shiva (Sundeep Kishan), Karthik (Aadhi) and a Car Mechanic (Rajendra Prasad) become the suspects of theft when they attend a party at Provotel pub located in Hyderabad city where the actual theft took place. The case investigation comes to CI Ranjith (Nara Rohith). How did Ranjith move the case forward and who is the actual thief of Shamanthakamani will be revealed at the end.
In terms of the performances, every single actor did well. The four young heroes have given their career best with Shamanthakamani. Every single actor delivered good performance and all of them ended up being in the same range and there is absolutely no question of domination. The director has used his cleverness very well in bringing out the best from everyone in the film.
The director tried his best in giving an equal screen space to all the actors and it did work well too. Nara Rohith, among the four male leads, performed well and his character runs through out the movie. Nara Rohith, as a cop, is at his best and he is surely going to make a note of this character as it will be staying with the audiences for a lot of time.
The heroines Kyra Dutt, Ananya Soni, Chandini Chowdary and Jenny Honey have done their best in shining the film so that they can attract the other filmmakers. Rajendra Prasad is another senior actor who carried the film on his shoulders to entertain the audiences. The other actors like Thanikella Bharani, Indraja, Banerjee, Hema and Krishna Teja supported the lead actors well.
Sriram Adithya, the director of the film tried his best in making the film an interesting watch. He has done a great job in coordinating with every department to bring the best output. Handling too many actors on the sets is a bit busy but Sriram made it easy. The twists that he added to the story line are very much interesting.
The screenplay has come out really very well in the movie. The makers did their best in converting the thin story line into an awesome movie. The first half of the film is restricted to the introduction of characters and setting up the premise of the story for the second half of the film. The interval bang is also an interesting aspect of the film and it came out in an exciting way.
Sriram Adithya who already scored big with his first film maintained the track for this second one too. Without creating any unnecessary confusion with the actors, the director directly went into the film's story. The mother sentiment is another interesting aspect of the movie that worked well. Mani Sharma's music is an asset for the film. His background score is very helpful for the film. Pravin Pudi's editing is good. Sameer Reddy's camera work is impressive. The production values of Bhavya Creations are grand. The dialogues are impressive.
Shamanthakamani is one movie that has got good entertainment in every scene. The audiences will surely glued to their seats while watching the film. The interesting narration of the film kept the thrilling aspect in tact with the audiences. The climax is certainly one of the best sequences in the recent times. Though the film has four different actors, the film has the story as the hero and it did work. On a whole, it is an interesting watch!
