Ashok (Vikranth) is a con artist who makes a theft at a bank with his team. Then, all of them escape to Hyderabad. This turns out to be a big case for the cops and Police Commissioner (Mysskin) begins the investigation for the same. The police commissioner starts chasing the criminals and finds that the team did the theft is hiding in a colony in Hyderabad. Immediately, he launches a team to locate them. What happens then? Did they find the criminals? What happens in the end? Forms the story of the movie.
Mysskin is the central attraction of the movie. As the police commissioner, his performance is terrific. The way he dealt with the case and performed the role with ease is impressive. He is one of the crucial persons to lift the film up with his performance. Also, Vikranth is good too. The way he heads the team of criminals is good. His performance in the hospital scenes is Impressive. Suseenthiran and Athulya are also a part of the project who made their presence felt.
Director Ramprakash Rayappa has got a good fascination with the thrillers and he came up with one in the genre. The way he added the thrilling points to a thin line is good. The best part of the film is the pace that is already on the go from the first scene. The film appears good to an extent but it just goes out of control as the story keeps progressing. The songs act as speed breakers in the movie. The twist in the climax is plotted well and it made the magic. The visuals are good and the background score is impressive too. Sujeeth Sarang is a valuable addition to the project. The editing is okay. The production values are decent.
Shoot at Sight Utharuvu is a thriller that has some good high points. Although it is poorly written and half-baked in some scenes, it has got good performances that could keep us engaged with the movie. The comedy in the film worked well and the logical loopholes are to be neglected. Interestingly, the pace of the film is good and will not bring boredom to the audiences. The director stuck to his story and traveled along with it without any deviations. With an amazing climax twist and impressive performances, the film is worth a watch during this lock down period, with your loved ones.
