Director Bheemaneni Srinivas Rao is known for doing a lot of remakes in Telugu film industry. He already has a good name in the industry as a remake specialist. After the failure of Speedunnodu, the actor has come up with an interesting movie titled as silly fellows. The movie is remake of the Tamil film Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran. Sunil and Allari Naresh have played the lead roles in the film and this movie marks the comeback of Sunil into Telugu films after long time as a comedy actor. Story: A minister is on his deathbed. He reveals the details of billions in cash to an MLA but the MLA meets with an accident and undergoes memory loss. What happens to the cash? How did the minister get back to the original memory? How does the lead characters connected to the story? Reveals the key plotline.
Performances: Allari Naresh is impressive in the film and has played his part very well. He appeared regular but his comedy is entertaining. After a long time, Sunil also appeared as a comic actor snd he did a decent job. The director made use of Sunil's character very well and it runs throughout the movie. The other actors like Jayaprakash Reddy, Posani Krishna Murali and Raghu have generated comedy towards the climax. Brahmanandam entertained with his comedy in the movie. The heroines Chitra Shukla and Nandini Rai are good in terms of glamour and performances.
Technical Aspects: Technically, the film was made with a lot of quality. The producers have spent a lot on the movie. The music and cinematography are huge plus for the film. The dialogues are additional plus point for this movie. The comedy from Sunil and Allari Naresh is entertaining. The editing is okay. The artwork is nice. The production values of the movie are grand.
Verdict: The director has stayed true to the original and he did not make major changes to the script. This Telugu film is a faithful remake for the Tamil movie. There is a lot of scope for the entertainment in the movie and the lead characters generated a lot of Fun in the movie. The songs appear as major speed breakers in the film but the entertainment is a huge saver. Director Bheemaneni Srinivas Rao who has earlier made some family entertainers has now come up with a clean comedy entertainer. Don't miss it.
