U Turn is the latest Telugu movie that released in the theatres today. Samantha played the lead role in the movie and this is her first female oriented movie in her career. After a long time, she did the movie with a lot of care. Pavan Kumar, the director of the original version of the movie has directed the Telugu version. This is the directional debut of Pavan Kumar. Aadi Pinisetty, Rahul Ravindran and others played key roles in the movie. A new Production House is entering into Tollywood with this movie. The film is releasing in both Telugu and Tamil languages. Story: Rachana (Samantha) is a journalist intern who is working on RK Puram flyover deaths. In the process, one day she enters into a deep mess where she faces allegation that she is the reason for a murder. What did Rachana do? How did she come out of the mess? What happens in the end? Forms the story of the movie.
Performances: Samantha is outstanding in the movie. So far, we have only seen her playing the bubbly roles but with this interesting movie, we came to know that she can pull off a role completely on her shoulders. Her subtle performance in the movie is a major plus point. Her makeover is also impressive in the movie. Aadi Pinisetty played his part well as a cop. He gave a great support to Samantha with his role. Also, Rahul Ravindran is impressive in his character. Samantha and Rahul pair is good in the screen. All the other actors are good in their characters and made their presence felt.
Technical Aspects: The camera work of the film is outstanding. The cinematography of the movie is different completely. The mode of the movie is different and the same was presented though the camera man's lens. The artwork is nice. The production design of the movie is impressive. Every minute detailing in the movie is amazing. The background score of the film elevated the film properly. The director, Pawan Kumar, is too good in terms of execution. In terms of the quality, the movie is top notch. The VFX work is brilliant too.
Verdict: The film mainly raises question over the civic responsibilities and also can the careless in a sensible manner. The movie also questions the attitude of citizens that is leading to accidents. The film have a good road safety message which is delivered to the society to follow traffic rules. Samantha should be appreciable for taking up this project. Though the impressive thriller is based on true events, it leads to the idea of existence of a super natural force which many might not get convinced with. But on the whole, the movie offers a thrilling ride.
