Exactly, three years ago, Dhanush gave a spectacular performance in Raghuvaran B Tech. The movie has created a sensation at the box office. With this movie, Dhanush market in Telugu has increased and almost all his movies are getting dubbed into Telugu. Now, he is back again with VIP 2. It is the sequel to the first part Raghuvaran B Tech. Due to some reasons, the Telugu release postponed to August 25th. Story
Raghuvaran is one of the brilliant civil engineers and works in Anitha Group of Connections. He received 'Engineer Of The Year' for completing the most prestigious Slum Clearance projecr. After knowing it, Vasundhara orders her to join their company Vasundhara Connections. But Raghavaran refuses the proposal. Since then, Vasundhara starts troubling him. He submit resignation at Anitha Group of Connections and starts a new company VIP Group of Connections. The rest of the story forms, how he successfully beats her in the business.
Filmybuzz Analysis
It has been almost three years, the movie Raghuvaran B Tech got released, but we remember all the characters. The first part is full of fun, love, action and romantic. After this three years gap, we can see some psychologica; changes in those charaters. In the first part, we can see Raghuvaran as a jobless fellow and always get scolded by his father. In this second part, we can see Raghuvaran in the same role, but this time getting scolded by his wife.
He has portrayed different shades in one single character and impressed the audience. Shalini who was seen as a calm going girl in the first half, turned into a sensitive and dominating wife in this second part. And his father will be seen as a cool guy in this second part. His brother Karthik will be seen in a macho avatar.
The makers have planned to highlight Vasundhara Devi character and they are successful in doing that. Like in the first part, Vivek entertained the audience in the second one. The makers have received average marks for the presentation and characterization of artists in this part. But they impressed with their narration.
Like in the first part, the conflict between hero and villain is interesting and in this second half, the makers have tried their best to recreate the magic with Vasundhara Devi. Kajol gave life to that character. One of the highlights in this movie is the climax. Dhanush has written the climax in a fantastic way.
Final Verdict
The first part was titled as Vellai Illa Pattadari in Tamil and in short form it is called as VIP. In Telugu, it was Raghuvaran B Tech. This second part is titled as VIP 2 and in Telugu it is supposed to be Raghuvaran B Tech, but the makers have titled it as VIP 2 and still the audiences have found a connection with the film. On a whole, the youth will have a connection with the movie and it's subject. They will surely like the film.
Content wise, the movie looks superb. Dhanush carefully came up with an emotional script making sure that the right moments get the right impact. Soundarya impressed with her skill by bringing out right emotions. The movie is surely a surprise for the audiences who are expecting it to be same as the first part.
Finally, VIP 2 Lives upto the first part. Dhanush shines
