The heroic side of Nandamuri Bala Krishna came to the fore during the shoot of Nandamuri Balakrishna's ambitious film Gautamiputra Satakarni.
During the shooting of battle scenes in Moracco, there was a scene where Satakarni carries his baby boy on a horse amid raging fires.
During the shoot, the horse fell down due to an explosion nearby and Ballayya Babu fell down along with the child. Balayya Babu was injured but, he was more worried about the child. Not only did he protect the boy, he made sure that he was okay. In a half-hour, Balayya Babu was ready for the shoot despite the injuries.
Directed by National award-winning director Krish Jagarlamudi, the film chronicles the life history of Satavahana ruler Gautamiputra Satakarni and the film is scheduled for a worldwide release on January 12. The film also stars Shriya Saran, Hema Malini and Kabir Bedi in important roles and the music is composed by Chirantan Bhatt.
