Gorgeous lady Rakul Preet Singh is in full swing with successive hits. On the occasion of the release of her upcoming flick ‘Winner’, we got an interview of her during the shoot of her next one with Naga Chaitanya. Have a look on what she revealed about ‘Winner’.
Can you reveal about your role in ‘Winner’?
As the trailer suggests, I play an athlete who is a jockey too in the film. Sai Dharam Tej gets involved with horses in this film because of me and the main story begins there. This film gave scope for me to flaunt my athletic body for which I’ve worked hard. As I am a fitness freak, I had a wonderful time shooting this film.
How is ‘Winner’ going to be?
This is a pakka commercial film with top notch technical values. Chota K Naidu had made the film look very appealing to the eyes. Major horse riding scenes were picturized in Turkey and they are a treat to watch. The film has its own share of strong family emotions and the film shaped up very well. Teju became emotional when he watched the film.
What do you have to say about working with Sai Dharam Tej?
Both of us are close friends and share a good rapport with each other which helped us during the shoot. He is a true sweetheart and we were like two kids left alone in a candy shop. His humbleness and respect towards his mom speaks volumes about his character.
On working with Mega heroes?
Every hero is the same to me and I don’t treat them special as they have family background. For me every film is a learning experience and I treat my co-star with sincere respect and put my 100% in the film.
Tell us about your director Gopichand Malineni?
This is my second collaboration with him and I had a great time working with him. The way he narrated me character is laudable and he gives so much of freedom to his actors. Though he is cool all the time, he manages to grab what he wants from the actors.
How are you enjoying your stardom?
Though I am enjoying this phase in my life, I know that everything that goes up has to come down one day. That is why I concentrate on one project at a time and put my capabilities to full use.
How are you handling working on many projects at a time?
I am able to manage them quite well. There are some projects that I had to leave because of my hectic schedule or either makers had replaced me with some other. All those films became flops and god is staying by my side and helping to get better films.
About working on female-oriented flicks?
Frankly, I did get such offers. Also, I feel that I am not yet capable of carrying the entire film on my shoulders unlike Anushka or Nayanathara. I love to do a sports based film like ‘Mary Kom’ in future maybe.
What are your upcoming projects?
I am going to start shooting for karthi’s film from March. Right now, I am shuffling between Mahesh and Naga Chaitanya’s films.
