Rogue introduces you has hero simultaneously in Telugu and Kannada. How are you feeling?
I am very excited and at the same time very nervous that my career begins with Rogue. My dream is finally coming true.
Did you think about turning hero from the beginning?
I wanted to become a hero. I told this first to my brother. He is already in production. After listening to what I had to say he only said one thing. I have a good height and look but that alone are not enough to be an actor. There is a lot more to it. He made join the production where I worked as assistant for one and half year for various movies coming under our banner. After that I went to Vizag to get trained under Satyanand sir. Once I was ready my brother arranged a meet with Puri Jagannadh sir and asked me to come to Hyderabad.
How did you feel after coming to know that your first film will be under Puri Jagannadh’s direction?
It was a big shock as well as huge surprise. After completing my acting course when I came to know that my debut will be with my dream director Puri jagannadh I was over the moon with happiness. I am a huge fan of Puri Jagannadh sir. I am forever in debt to Puri agannadh sir for introducing me.
Puri Jagannadh is a brand, his heroes have unique characterization. How will be you character in Rogue?
I love the hero characterization in Puri Jagannadh sir films. whether it is Idiot, Pokiri or Loafer, the hero always had a different and unique characterization. In Rogue also my character will be different. I am sure the audience will like it. Apart from my character I also loved the villain’s role.
What kind of a film would be Rogue?
It is a different cute love story with all elements in place to attract family audience also. It is a complete package of entertainment.
Tell us about Puri Jagannadh?
Right from the first day when I came to know that I will be acting under Puri Jagannadh sir direction, he has guided me like a mentor. He narrated the script thrice to be in detail and asked if I don’t like it he will come up with a new one. Such is the freedom I was given. The kind of encouragement I got from parents to become hero was also seen from Puri sir. He treated me like his son and made the film by taking as much care as if he is introducing his son. I will never forget that.
What did you feel about Sunil Kashyap’s music?
He has given excellent music. All the songs are hit musically and they have been equally wonderfully shot. Bhaskarbhatla has given superb lyrics. I must thank the music director and lyricist for giving wonderful output for my debut. I should also mention about Mukesh sir, he has captured excellent visuals.
