It is known that there is a lot of hype surrounding Mahesh-Murugadoss film. ‘Spyder’, which is made over a budget of 100 crores, recently started its trade. News is that, West Godavari rights had been acquired by LVR distributors for a whopping 5.04 cores which is the highest for a film till date.
Films like ‘Khaidi No.150’ and ‘Baahubali 1’ were sold at 4.6 cores and 4.5 crores respectively in that region. As ‘Khaidi No.150’ minted over 6 crores, one can say that ‘Spyder’ was sold at a reasonable rate. Reports are that, Sai Korrapati is leading the race for Vishaka rights. As Chiru’s film was sold for 8 crores and collected over 13 crores, the makers are expected to close the deal around 10 crores as per sources.
But, the makers are waiting for ‘Baahubali-The Conclusion’ collections to close their deals. Final schedule for ‘Spyder’ will start in Hyderabad and is expected to go break less. It would be a wrap for shooting part and the film will be hitting the screens in August. Interestingly, Mahesh’s ‘Srimanthudu’ also released after ‘Baahubali’ in August and went on to become a blockbuster.
