In crazy turn of events, Baahubali2 might also end up receiving fan wrath like some other regular commercial movies! Any die-hard fans of an actor give high regards to their hero's film and even though they don't hate other's films, sometimes they do go against them, even ban them when they have an issue of some sorts.
For Baahubali, each and never fan of telugu cinema despite of their favouritism, announced outright support to the movie. But when it comes to Baahubali2, few of them, especially Mega fans seem to have a problem with the release. A whatsapp message said to be written by senior mega fan calling for boycotting the film.
As per the message, " Mega fans, ignore watching Baahubali 2 in theatres for a week at least. For Khaidi No 150 we're not allowed to screen premiere shows and benefit shows. Same repeated with Katamarayudu as well. But for Baahubali2, AP government allowed 6-screenings per day and also sounded positively for ticket hike to 200 rupees. So ignore Baahubali 2 to make everyone understand how the governments are being partial for only some people"
Well, the issue seems to do more with jealousy rather than a valid argument. If you've something against a government's decision, then you can protest against the government but asking people to boycott a movie that too being made on such a scale by a Telugu director, seems too extreme reaction. As cinema lovers, we ask fans to support such a movie and if they have issues with government decisions, then please protest in some other way than boycotting a team's hard work of 5 years.
