Tamil & Telugu popular star Arya is part of director Anup Bhandari’s debut film in Telugu Rajaratham. What prompted him to instantly agree over a 5min telephonic narrative is that he became a fan of Rangitaranga when he watched it in a theatre when it was released in Chennai. Rangitaranga was debut Kannada film of Bhandari Brothers Anup & Nirup which became a sensation & ran over a year in Karnataka theatres. Arya immediately got in touch with Sudhakar Bhandary who is the father of Anup & congratulated him. When director Anup started working on Rajaratham’s script, he approached Arya who was participating in a Cycle Rally happening at London then. Few might already know that Arya is a cycling fanatic so he had to complete 1400kms in mere 4.5 days with limited rest. So whenever he used to take 10-15mins break, that is when Arya got a brief about his role in Rajaratham. Without any second thoughts Arya said “Ok brother, I’m interested in this” and shared his dates with the team.
Arya has had many blockbusters in Kollywood - Bala’s Naan Kaduvul, AL Vijay’s Madrasapattinam, Atlee’s Raja Rani in Tamil & Telugu as well. Currently Arya is busy with Sangamithra a big budget film directed by C Sundar. Rajaratham is a rom-com musical starring Nirup Bhandari, Avantika Shetty, P Ravishankar directed & written by Rangitaranga director Anup Bhandari, produced by Jollyhits team Anju Vallabhaneni, Vishu Dakappagari, Sathish Sastry & Ajay Reddy Gollapalli.
