Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut recently scored a super hit in the form of Manikarnika, which is based on the life of Jhansi Lakshmibai. With the success of that biopic, the actress seems to have gotten interested in portraying real-life roles and immediately signed a film which will be based on the life of late actress and politician, Jayalalitha.
Titled as Thalaivi in Tamil and Jaya in Hindi, this movie will be directed by AL Vijay and produced by Vishnu Vardhan Reddy. According to the grapevine, Kangana has demanded a whopping amount of Rs. 24 crores as the remuneration for this movie. Considering her pan-Indian fan base, even makers have agreed to pay the amount. Hence, the actress decided to take up this project and postpone her own biopic. Vijayendra Prasad is also said to have given the same advice.
K. Vijayendra Prasad, who recently wrote the script of Manikarnika, will also pen the script for this film. It is expected to go on floors very soon. Hope the film becomes a huge hit and put the producers in a safe zone, who are pinning a lot of hopes on it.
