Omkar, who is popular by his reality shows is to hit the audience with his movie "Raju Gari Gadhi". Ashwin Babu, Chethan, Dhanya Balakrishnan in lead roles, the movie is made under the banner OAK Entertainments. Omkar is the director for this flick Raju Gari Gadhi.
Omkar today spoke with our reporter about his upcoming movie Raju Gari Gadhi. Take a look:
Q: About the project Raju Gari Gadhi?
A: This is a horror movie with different concept. The story runs around a mystery revolving around a palace in a place called Nandigama. Not even a single person who visits the palace comes back alive. There are absolutely thrilling sequences for more than 20 minutes of run-time in the movie. Many horror movies might have come up in recent times but, this is going to be different.
Q: About budget invested upon this project?
A: For my first movie, when we had a plan to invest 6 Crores, it took 10 Crores to complete it. As both me and the producer were naive to the work, we invested so much. We did not succeed in making the movie commercially hit. It was then, when I planned to make a small budget movie. So here it is! Raju Gari Gadhi.
Q: How come you have opted for such a different project?
A: I somehow came to a conclusion that if you need to be successful in making a low budget movie, then horror story is the best. I want the viewers to enjoy. I am ready to make movies in all the genres.
Q: Do you have ideas to continue in the shows hereafter?
A: Of course! I have a passion towards direction and that is why I am into making movies. But, what brought me a certain identification , are the shows I have done on small screen. AATA is the show which brought me a great following. Ashwin is my brother and he is one of the contestants from that show. I have made the movie Genius introducing him as the hero. I want to take my brother to entirely another level.
Q: What was the best compliment you have ever received?
A: Sai Korrapati garu complimented that we have made this movie with a grandeur even at that low budget. He also told me that if it was not me, no one else could have done it.
Q: What are the highlights of the movie?
A: Photography, BGM, visual effects are plus. The audience will be very satisfied. Horror will definitely be promising.
Q: Next Projects?
A: I have already planned for the sequel of Raju Gari Gadhi which will be Raju Gari Gadhi-2. I have another project with an emotional backdrop.
