Hero Nikhil Siddhartha who has been on a consistent track of hit movies is to appear in full too comedy spoof movie "Shankarabharanam". Being on a roll, Nikhil had a hattrick success with the movies "Swaami Rara", "Karthikeya" and "Surya Vs Surya". Though he had to struggle initially, Nikhil is on a good track now. Q: How did you get to act in Shankarabharanam?
A: One fine day Kona Venkat sir called me up and asked me to meet him at his office and obviously I got excited. I started off immediately. Kona Venkat sir told me that we were going to work together. He started the narration of the story and after some time, I asked him to narrate the whole story. He continued and then I really liked the story. This is a remake of "Phass Gayare Obama" from Hindi.
Q: Why did you sign for the movie? Is it because it is a movie that is being made by Kona Venkat?
A: I have never attempted such a project. And it is not because Kona Venkat sir offered me or because it is a movie by a big banner. I found the story very entertaining. That is the main reason.
Q: A few things about your role in the movie?
A: At first, when I was been chosen for this movie, I expected the movie to be like "Ready" and "Dhee". This movie will be quite entertaining too. I have played a role that depicts a typical NRI who goes to Bihar. It is an engaging role.
Q: What is the justification for the title?
A: Truly speaking, this movie is a mixture of all the elements like the family. action, sentiment, mass, mafia elements. So, we thought the title also should go with all these things. Even I was shocked to hear the title when Kona sir told me it is "shankarabharanam". Kona sir even told to Vishwanath garu about this and he came to the audio release and gave us his blessings. The main intention is to get connected to the viewers easily.
Q: So, is it going to be as it is like Phass gayare Obama?
A: Kona sir has taken the main core story from the Hindi movie. We have made amny changes to suit the nativity in Telugu. There is a change in the second half of the movie too.
Q: How many theaters are being booked for Shakarabharanam?
A: The movie is doing good business. Nearly 600 hundred theaters I guess.
Q: Next projects?
A: I have signed for a project with VI Anand. I have signed for another fantasy subject, the movie in which there are 3 heroines. Avika Gor is one of them. Also planning for Karthikeya-2.
