Puri Jagannadh is one of the directors of tinselville who have already proved his caliber. After the lady-oriented movie Jyothi Lakshmi, Puri has come up with a project titled "Loafer". Varun Tej is the male lead the movie is all set for it's release. Here is a short interview with Puri Jagannadh.
Q: Loafer! The title is naive. What about the concept?
A: Loafer is an absolute commercial movie with a sentimental touch. It is a high emotional movie and it has been a long time since I have touched such a concept.
Q: Why did you title it as Loafer?
A: In the movie Loafer, hero's characterization goes apt with the title. I think it justifies as it is in sync with the story.
Q: About Varun Tej?
A: Varun Tej has done an excellent job. He is a very genuine actor and too passionate about the movies. He never gets carried away by the other factors.
Q: How come you opted for Revathi for this movie?
A: I got fixated that Revathi will be apt for this role as soon as I finished the story script. She was initially in a doubt, but she gave a nod after the complete narration.
Q: Why Posani opposite Revathi?
A: We wanted a total contrast kind of character opposite Revathi for this script. The role of Revathi's husband is very negative. That is the main reason we opted Posani. He has given his hundred percent for this flick.
Q: Anything to talk about Jyothi Lakshmi?
A: I am very happy about the way it was made. It earned a good profit too. It is like a journey for me now as a book is being written about this lady oriented movie.
Q: Are you upset after Chiranjeevi’s comeback film got cancelled?
A: For me it is important to do a movie with Chiranjeevi. Be it his 150th movie or not is not at all a matter for me. There was a backlash from the fans of Mega Star. But, I have taken it as a plus.
Q: Did you get irritated by the way Pawan Kalyan's fans behaved in Loafer's audio function?
A: I really did not understand why they do this every time. The fans must understand that it only brings a bad name to themselves and Pawan Kalyan too.
