Young director Nag Ashwin made his directional debut with the film Yevade Subrahmanyam. The film stars Nani in the lead. Later, the director tasted success and he is now making a film on the legendary actress Savitri. The biopic is titled as Mahanati.
Keerthy Suresh is playing Savitri in the film. Samantha, Vijay Devarakonda and few other prominent artists were brought on board for the film as it is being released in multiple languages. Dulquer Salmaan is also going to be seen in a crucial role in the film. Meanwhile, there were many rumours that Jr NTR will also be a part of the film.
Producer Swapna Dutt and NTR are good friends and she is planning to approach Tarak with the proposal of him reprising the role of Sr NTR. As of now, nothing has been confirmed and we are waiting for a formal announcement on the same.
