‘Jeans’ fame Prasanth after a long gap appeared in telugu screen through ‘Rajakota Rahasyam’. This is the dubbing of tamil movie ‘Ponnar Sankar’. This is a real story of two warrior brothers who lived centuries ago and are worshipped as gods even today. The story, screenplay are penned by renowned writer, Tamilnadu ex-cheif minister Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi. So, let us see how the movie goes on...

Story
In 10th century the landlord Madhusudhan Reddy (Vijay Kumar) lived with his wife and children. Soon, it's time for his daughter Shyamala (Khushboo) to be married, and he arranges for her to be married to the ruthless Veerendra (Prakashraj), ignoring a promise he made earlier that he would get Shyamala married to her cousin, Madhana Murthy (Jayaram), a meek man who was thrown out by Veerendra himself, his lands confiscated. Madhana Murthy appears just in time to claim Shyamala’s hand, and marries her. Shyamala's father who, until that moment supports her decision, suddenly turns against her. Her brother, Rajamahendra (Ponvannan) vows that she will be reduced to wandering the streets. Shyamala makes an earth-shattering vow: she will have two sons who will marry her brother's daughters come what may.
Fast forward at least two decades, and we have a warrior, Rajanna (Raj Kiran), opposing his foe about opening a dam in an irrigation dispute. He calls upon Prakash and Akash to help him. The twins (both played by Prashanth) practically waltz in on their horses, throw everyone around reassuringly with their bare hands and break open the dam with just a spear-throw.
Bhaskarayya (Nasser) arrives, white beard streaming on horseback. Through him we learn that the twins are Shyamala’s sons. The twins visit a local festival held in honour of the goddess and meet two half-clad young women, Pravallika and Priyanka (Divya Parameshwaran and Pooja Chopra). Love blooms after the girls are saved from a tornado on a calm lake. . Eventually, their father Rajamahendra varma gives green signal to their marriage. But the twist in tale strikes a connection involving between two families. Finally will the twin brother marry the girls, how did the girls father react when he came to know that the twin brothers are Shyamala’s sons form the rest of the story.
Filmybuzz opinion
The film belongs to Prashanth right from his terrific introductory scene riding a horse and doing some amazing action scenes. Divya Parameswaran and Pooja Chopra characters restricted for glam-appeal. while Sneha as Prashanth’s sister doesn’t get much scope. The other actors carried the story forward with nice performance.  Cheers to art director T. Muthuraj. He has created huge palace, fort, battle field before our eyes. Shaji Kumar captures them well on his lens. Thyagarajan is not only a good artist but also a excellent technician. Every frame is rich and an eyefest. If u expect a different periodical can watch.
