Story
ACP Krishna (Venkatesh) is so soft hearted person that he even cannot hurt goons. He takes care of them if he injured them. Sailu (Nayantara) is the daughter of an accused (Jayaprakash) who is absconding after getting stuck in a case. She runs the house by doing several works.
Krishna meets Sailu and attracted to her. He hides his police identity.
But Sailu gets to know a shocking truth about Krishna and distances from him,

Performances:
It's cake walk for Venkatesh to do comedy and his commedy timing was proven in many films. He once again gives his flawless performance. He is a perfect fit for the role of ACP Krishna. In fact, the film is Venkatesh's show all the way.
Nayanthara looks gorgeous as Sailu and done an outstanding job. Nayanthara shares a superb chemistry with Venkatesh.
30 years Pruthivi as Battayi Babaji generated many laughs. Sampath Raj and Posani in negative characters make their presence felt. Jayaprakash, Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji, Brahmanandam, Chamak Chandra and others have done adequate job.
Technical:
Ghibran’s music is decent and background score is Plus for Cinema. The editing is not tight and movie needs further trimming. Camera work is top notch and the film has striking visuals.
The way all the songs have been choreographed looks good Producer has put in good money to make sure the film has rich production values.
The movie has many entertaining moments in the first half. Dialogues are good in places.
Screenplay by Maurthi is very good in the first half but drags during the second half. Maruthi targets Family Audience with this Movie.

Analysis:
Venky has paired up with Maruthi for the first time and the expectations obviously went high.
First half of Babu Bangaram is very decent and Maruthi has incorporated all the necessary ingredients in to make it a decent watch.
But it falls flat as the film progresses into the second half and it treads on regular pattern. The film gets quite predictable and added to this, the screenplay is a bit boring at places.
All the songs are filmed well and the chemistry between Venky and Nayan are worth mentioning. Some scenes emit a lot of hilarious moments and the comedy track of Prudvi will be liked by everyone..
A good number of moments sprinkled through out the movie but with the extremely routine story, the film not engages you much. The major plus point of the movie is Venkatesh’s outstanding performance and his mannerisms.
All in all, decent first half, good camera work, Venky's comedy timing, comedy scenes involving Prudhvi, Vennela Kishore,Chammak Chandra are the strengths of Babu Bangaram.
Barring some hiccups, Babu Bangaram makes it a decent time-pass watch with a good number of fun moments .
