Story
Dinesh(Vijay Anthony), who is a senior software engineer, marries a house maker Aiswarya (Arundhati Nayar). But shockingly, Dinesh starts hearing another person's voice in his head. When things become serious, he joins in a mental hospital.
The doctors found out that his ancestral past is haunting him.Through hypnotism, the doctor took Dinesh into his last birth where he was a teacher called Sharma. He marries his student Jayalakshmi who is much younger than him. What happens next? Why did he remember his past all of sudden? How will Dinesh come out of this? forms the rest of the story.
Performances
Vijay Antony has delivered a brilliant performance and carries the entire film on his shoulders. His expressions and body language gel with theme of the film quite well. Arundathi Nair has got good scope for performance and she has done justice to her role. Others including Charuhasan, Meera Krishnan, YG Mahendra, Siddhartha Shankar and Kitty have performed according to their roles.
Technical
Pradeep Kalipuriath's brilliant picturisation is one of the main attraction of the film. Vijay Anthony's background score is top notch. Editing of the film is just ok and so is the run time. Dialogues are good.
Director Pradeep has succeeded in engaging the audience in first half but has failed to continue it in the second half.Even though the director had good scope of more thrilling sequences in the second half, he has failed to do so.

Analysis
After Blockbuster Bichagadu, Vijay Anthony came with a novel concept and emerged successful in attracting the viewers. Bethaludu story is quite new and gripping. Engaging story line and a thumping background score are major attractions of the film.
The director managed to keep the viewer on the edge of seat in the entire first half and the interval episode was good no doubt and many expected the second half to make up for it. However, the second half disappoints many. After the twist revealed, the proceedings become predictable. By the time the film reaches the pre- climax, the director comes with an interesting twist.
Vijay Antony's performance, Story, Screenplay, background score and Interval bang are some of the plus points. Lack of commercial elements and comedy, routine climax and drags in the second half are minus points.
Overall, Bethaludu is a must watch for audience that are craving something different in films.
