The film is surely going to be an exciting one at the box-office since it is introducing two promising talents to the industry. KVR Mahendra is the director making his debut. The movie released today and here is the film's review.
Story: Dorasani is a tale of love between an upper caste girl and a lower caste boy. Raju (Anand Deverakonda) is born in a lower caste family and he falls in love with Devika alias Chinna Dorasani (Shivatmika) at the first sight itself. Eventually, after realizing Raju's sincerity towards her, Devika also falls for him.
Things go upside down when Dora, father of Chinna Dorasani, knows about their love affair. He then turns as a spoilsport for their relationship which eventually leads them into many problems. What did Dora do to them? Will Raju and Devika marry at the end? To know all these, catch the movie at the theatres.
Performances: Anand Devarakonda and Shivatmika marked their debut with this film but their outstanding performances in the film never makes the audience feel that this is their debut. Be it their dialogue delivery or expressions, both Anand and Shivatmika will leave a positive impact on the audience. Especially in the second half, their performance is flawless and added more strength for the film. Vinay Varma got an interesting role in the film and has delivered a decent performance. Kannada Kishore's energetic performance also added more strength for the movie. Sharanya has justified her role. Byreddy Vamshi and Krishna Reddy are too good in their roles. The rest of the characters also made their presence felt.
Technical Aspects: Production values by Madhura Sreedhar Reddy and Yash Rangineni also lifted each and every scene of the film. Music by Prashanth Vihari is extraordinary. A couple of songs have already impressed the audience and even the background score in the movie is soothing and excellent. Cinematographer Sunny Kurapaty has produced some beautiful visuals for the film. Editing by Naveen Nooli is clean.
Verdict: Director KVR Mahendra has showcased the beauty of the time period with this film. His constant pace of narration became one of the plus points. Also, the way he has handled the story and narrated it is really beautiful and engaging. The movie has a solid story which became one of the major plus points for the film. Though the entire movie runs with the 80s backdrop, even the young audience can also easily relate to the story and will easily get involved in it. The strong characterizations will also make it even more interesting for the audience to watch the film. The movie not only starts off on an interesting note and the entire first half is filled with the romantic comedy sequences. The second half of this story will become a bit slow and the pre-climax scenes felt a little bit draggy. However, the climax is handled well. To conclude, 'Dorasani' is a good movie and can be watched once.
