Iddari Lokam Okate is one of the movies hitting the screens for Christmas. Raj Tarun and Shalini Pandey play the lead roles in the movie. G Krishna Reddy who earlier made Aadu Magadra Bujji directs the film and Dil Raju produced it. Touted to be the remake of a Turkish movie, the film Iddari Lokam Okate mostly revolves around the two lead actors that the theatrical trailer also hinted us. Mickey J Meyer composed the music for the film. Check out the review of the film here.
Story: Varsha (Shalini Pandey) is a struggling actress who wants to become a star heroine. One day, she goes to a photography exhibition organized by Mahi (Raj Tarun). Both of them become friends immediately. Will their relationship turn into love? Can Varsha succeed in becoming a heroine? How destiny played a crucial role in their relationship? forms the crux of the story.
Performances: Both Raj Tarun and Shalini Pandey got a different kind of roles in this movie when compared to their previous films. But the actors have delivered their best performances. Especially the refreshing performance of Shalini Pandey will grab the attention of the audience. Also, Raj Tarun went under the skin of the character and has delivered his best in the movie. Also, the chemistry between these two actors worked out really well. The rest of the actors also justified their roles.
Technical Aspects: Director GR Krishna's narration is not engaging. His pace of narration gets extremely slow in the second half. Despite having some dull moments, the director has succeeded in keeping the audience engaged. The screenplay is also good and the director has narrated the story in an entertaining way. Production values by Shirish under Sri Venkateswara Creations banner are rich. Owing to Raj Tarun's market, the producers have invested decent amounts in the movie. Music by Mickey J Meyer is worth appreciating. Though only a couple of songs worked out well, his BGM will grab the attention of the audience. Cinematographer Sameer Reddy has produced some beautiful visuals and camera angles for the movie. Editing by Thammi Raju is neat.
Verdict: The film comes up with a love story but it is not something new or fresh. Also, the movie's story fails to create any magic. Everything seems to be routine and predictable. The only saving grace for passing through the movie is the lead actors Raj Tarun and Shalini Pandey who put great performances in the movie. Apart from that, there is nothing more to rave about. Mickey's BGM tries to elevate the film in the right way but some poorly written scenes fails to attract. The second half is very slow when compared to the first half and the only saving grace is the climax that came out really well. On the whole, the movie falls short of the expectations.
