Story:
The film takes place in Palasa area, in the year 1978. Ranga Rao (Thiru Veer) and Mohan Rao (Rakshit) are brothers in the film. On the other side, there are two biggies in the village who are fighting it out for power. How did the two brothers Mohan Rao and Ranga Rao fell prey for this power politics is the story of the movie.
Performances:
Rakshit who is a film old did his best. His performance is one of the major highlights in the movie. His strength lies in emoting with eyes. He is at his best. Thiru Veer who already impressed in films like George Reddy too gave a decent performance in the film. Both the actors stand out as the best. Heroine Nakshatra is okay in her role. There is not much scope for her to perform in the film. Raghu Kunche is decent in the role he played and exhibited the negative shades well. Mirchi Madhavi did her best too. The rest of the cast made their presence felt.
Technical Aspects:
Raghu Kunche's songs and background score is a huge plus for the film. There is a quality in the making. The visuls are looking great. The art work is impressive. The editing is decent. The production values are good.
Verdict:
The film has 1978 backdrop and the director focused on presenting then situations in the society in all the aspects. The film is a take on discrimination in the name of caste and economical situations. The director cleverly picked Uttarandhra backdrop to convince the audiences about the points he made, since a lot of things were relevant then. The first half of the film introduces the characters well and also presents the conflict in an interesting manner. Although the director wanted to present the film in a raw manner, there is nothing new to the story that he added. Still, the film appeals to the audiences and they get connected to it. The interval bang, pre-climax and climax sequences are written and executed well. The emotional elements are also plotted cleverly to give the high to the audiences. The realistic and natural way of character presentation on the big screen is another highlight.
On the whole, the film is an engaging realistic revenge drama.
