Story:
Raghuramayya (Satyaraj) lives in Rajahmundry whereas his children and grandchildren live in USA and Australia. One day, doctors diagnose that he is suffering from the last stage of Lung cancer and only has 5 weeks to live. But, more than their dying father, his children are worried only about their jobs and work. But Raghuramayya's grandson (Sai Tej) enters the scenes and tries to teach them all a lesson. The rest of the film is about how Sai Tej tries to keep his grandfather happy and teach a lesson to the rest of the family.
Performances:
Sai Dharam Tej is undoubtedly the show stealer of this movie. The actor breathes life into his character and made the movie even more entertaining. When compared to his previous movies, Sai Tej has delivered an impressive performance in this movie. After 'Supreme', Raashi Khanna played yet another interesting role with a comic touch in this film. Her comedy timing is superb and will definitely impress the audience. Sathyaraj's energetic performance added more strength to the film. His screen presence will be a delight to watch. Rao Ramesh proved that he is one of the finest actors in the industry yet again with his outstanding performance in the film. His dialogue delivery and intense performance should definitely get the extra credit. Vijayakumar and Naresh also justified their roles. Prabha and Murali Sharma acted naturally. The rest of the actors also made their presence felt.
Technical Aspects:
Director Maruthi who has been failing to impress the audience with his scripts lately bounced back with this film. The director has not only prepared a solid story for the film but also made the movie as entertaining as possible. The way the director dealt with the sensitive issue in an entertaining way is quite impressive. Production values by GA2 Pictures and UV Creations are very rich. Music by SS Thaman will be the biggest plus point for this film. A couple of songs have already become chartbusters and even his BGM is refreshing and pleasant. Cinematographer Jayakumar has produced some bright and colorful visuals for the movie which made the audience stick to their chairs which made the movie even more engaging. Editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is clean.
Verdict:
Though there is no depth in the storyline, the entertainment factor became one of the major plus points for this film. Director Maruthi's narration will make the audience stick to their chairs. The entire first half is hilarious and will give an entertaining ride for the audience. The way the director has narrated the script is too good and the director has executed the storyline properly. Instead of focusing more on the storyline, the director made the movie as engaging as possible and his gripping screenplay is really good. Though a couple of scenes in the second half felt unnecessary, the director has carried the same amount of emotions throughout the film. Performances, message-oriented story and entertainment will be the biggest plus points of this film and there are no major flaws in this film. Overall, 'Prathi Roju Pandaage' is a must-watch movie for all sections of the audience.
