Story:
The film depicts the freedom struggle that was initiated by Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy (Chiranjeevi). How he inspired the public? What sacrifices he did? Forms the story of the movie.
Performances:
Megastar Chiranjeevi has played the role of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy majestically. He looked terrific in that avatar and pulled it off with so much ease and energy. We can say that no one can essay the role of Narasimha Reddy with such passion and hard work except for Chiru. Sudeep not only got a meaty role but also got some outstanding dialogues which will definitely leave an impact on the audience. Vijay Sethupathi will definitely steal the show with his amazing performance. The way he has carried out his role deserves much more appreciation than he got for any other character in his previous films. Both Nayanthara and Tamannaah not only look beautiful but also will steal attention with their energetic performances. Jagapathi Babu is equally good in his role. Though the screen space of Amitabh Bachchan is less, we can say the director has given a strong role to him and Big B has delivered his best performance.
Technical Aspects:
Director Surender Reddy has done a terrific job in bringing life into the story of an unsung hero like Narsimha Reddy. The way he has showcased the epic story is truly outstanding. We can say that 'Sye Raa' is his best work to date and the director has proved that he has some next-level skills. He has handled the complex story and narrated the storyline in a mind-blowing way. He has given importance to each and every character in the film and also succeeded in presenting a beautiful story in the most beautiful way possible. As promised, Ram Charan under Konidela Productions has produced the best output for the film. Once again, Sai Madhav Burra shines as his dialogues will be remembered for a long time. The way he penned dialogues for Chiranjeevi will elevate the greatness of Uyyalawada and will bring applause in the theatres. Music by Amit Trivedi is superb. Also, the background score by Julius Packiam is impressive. Cinematographer R Rathnavelu has produced some classy visuals for the film. Editing by A Sreekar Reddy Prasad is neat.
Verdict:
Director Surender Reddy has not only roped in star cast for the film but also gave equal importance to all the characters in the movie. The way he has narrated the story is incredible. The first 15 minutes of the movie itself will mesmerize the audience and the first half deals with the background story of Narsimha Reddy, how he goes against the British rule, forms a group and goes against the Britishers and how he became a major threat to the British rule, etc. The second half is also equally intense and will have some mind-blowing war sequences. The hanging scene and the court scene are showcased in an emotional way and the audience will easily connect with the story. The stellar cast and brilliant technical values can be considered as the major plus points of this film. Also, we cannot find out the drawbacks in the film as the movie is a perfect tribute to the unsung song hero Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy.
To conclude, 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy' is a must-watch movie for the audience not only to enjoy the grandeur but also to know the story of such a great Hero.
