World War-II brought a drastic revolution in the lives of the human kind. We all are aware of the fact that there took place the so and so war. But, many of us are unaware of the facts about the world war. It is an attempt by the director Krish that he grabbed this concept and tried to bring out the unveiled facts about he World War-II.
Normally, it is like a biggest risk to make a movie with a war backdrop. Adding to that, to bring out the unveiled truths behind the war is definitely the most naive and conjuring concept. One needs to have guts to even think of projects like this.
More details about the historic movie Kanche:
The movie takes it star with the speech of Hitler. Dhupati hari Babu(Varun Tej ) enters. Eshwar (Nikitin Dheer ) and Dhupati Haribabu are the soldiers hailing from the same place. From the very start, Eswar don't seem to get connection with Dupati Hari babu.
The story takes it proceeding with a flashback. It takes the viewers to 1936 where Dhupati HariBabu and Sita( Pragya Jaiswal) get to study together in Chenna Patnam. Sita is a girl belonging to a higher sect of caste, whereas Hari Babu belongs to lower caste. Love blossoms between them. Eshwar who already is a soldier in military, is the brother of Sita. Hari Babu attempts to reveal to Eshwar about their love and convince him for them to get married.
Eshwar who comes to know about this, obviously gets irked and in this frame of context, there arise a disturbance in between the people of that place and they build fences and divide themselves.
Then the movie strikes to the present again and war sequences are shown. Both Eshwar and Hari Babu are the soldiers. What happens during the war, will the love story of Hari Babu and Sita get succeeded , how will the fences between the people who live in the same place get vanished etc. should be watched in the movie only
Roles and Performances:
Varun Tej has given his best in the role of Hari Babu. His physique is an awe. The variation he has showed in the roles of a student and soldier is definitely appreciable. His body language, attire, his appearance are very congenial for the role of a soldier of 1940's. A sincerity in love scenes, octane and sharp look of a soldier. He is so adaptive.
Pragya Jaiswal looks very majestic and radiant. Her body language is tantalizing. It is for sure that she is gonna make her place in the hearts of the audience. Nikitin Dheer has done a decent job as a villain. He managed to justify the role very well. All the other actors have justified their roles well. gollapudi maruthi rao garu, singeetham srinivasa rao, Srinivas Avasarala etc have done their roles well.
The first and core point is: Krish's story streak and the way he worked it out. To medley a war movie with a love story is a tough task. The concept itself is a solid and superlative.
Art director Sahi Suresh has done a very promising work. BGM and music went along with the concept and Chirantan Bhatt have done an excellent job. The songs are melodious and appealing. War scenes are very thrilling and exciting. Dialogues is the best asset for the movie. Sai Madhav who have penned the dialogues is simply superb. Production values are fine . Camera work is good.
We appreciate the attempt that Krish has made to dish out such naive concept. Narration of the story is conjuring. Every scene is properly interwoven. Krish has served the movie with all toppings. Palatable screenplay, thrilling war sequences, captivating dialogues . But, there is nothing much that you get to know about the war. It is just a small streak of information you get about how the war took place.
May be the narration slowed down somewhere. With minute mistakes, the movie still stands unique. Varun Tej has again proved that he is an actor with caliber. Pragya is surely gonna bag many more projects.
Finally, the movie questions humanity, shows the way of life. Its a tangible project that tries to convey that the system of caste, religion etc are only material. Unity is the best the society can have. It is a big salute to Krish!!!
Touching, thrilling, conveying. Typically a Krish-mark movie. Highly recommended to watch.
