Check out the movie review:
Akhil-The Power Of Jua revolves around a tribe in a remote African area. Jua(Sun) is considered a power that saves the world from destruction by those tribes. Divya is a medical student and Akhil falls for Divya. The twist in the tale comes when Akhil gets connected with the tribes and their belief in Jua.
A German Scientist named Kathroachi tries to get Jua , which has an ability to stop the global catastrophe from UV rays, to rule on the World by using it supernatural powers. Somehow, Divya gets into a trap and gets kidnapped by unknown people. Akhil reaches Europe in search of Divya. The rest of the movie and the suspense which lies with Jua is to be watched on silver screen only.
Roles and Performances:
Akhil's dances are unanimously appreciated by all the quarters of the audience. His screen presence, voice base, dances and intense action are definitely greatest assets. He looks so smart as he carries the charismatic lineage of his family. But, his comedy timing, and dialogue delivery surely need improvements.
Sayyeshaa who is also a debutante looks oomph and gorgeous. In the very little scope she had, she tried to give her best. Need not even mention about her dance it was too good. The comedy troop Brahmanandam, Vennela Kishore, Saptagiri have done a great job. Brahmanandam in the role of Johnson and Johnson ably managed to give a rib-tickling humor. Rajendra Prasad, Mahesh Manjrekar, Jayaprakash Reddy did a very good job and justified their roles so well.
Akhil's blunder in the selection of story is obvious. Storyline went confusing in many places. Cinematography gives a lavish appeal. Fresh locations, costly frames and action sequences are a plus.
Story has a very weak plot that leads to boredom and not at all captivating. Songs barely had a situation. VV Vinayak failed to live up to the expectations. The mediocre direction is the sole reason for the mediocre appeal.
No proper dialogues that barely rhyme or even impress. The comedy punches that were supposed to be humorous gave up. Graphics was not at all good. Lack of skill in visuals.
Apart from Akhil, nothing is so impressive. Akhil carries the entire movie on his shoulders and looks octane. The movie though failed to be an outstanding debut, Akhil proved his skill and he is definitely going to rock. Once watchable and that too for Akhil's screen presence.
Verdict: Once watchable, Akhil-The Power Of Jua lacks the expected power.
