Rathnavelu, is one of the technicians with a caliber. Mounted with praises for his technical skills in some of the blockbusters like Robo, I Nenokkadine etc. Rathnavelu's recent project is KUMARI-21F. This movie, being made under the assistance of ace director Sukumar, is directed by Palnati Surya Pratap.

Q: It is an information that you have worked for free for this movie Kumari-21F. Is it true?
A: I share a very good rapport with Suku. I wanted to work with him and came to know that this movie is being produced by Suku himself. Yes, I haven't taken remuneration prior to this movie. But, I believe that this movie is gonna be a huge hit and I will accept my remuneration happily then. Money is not the priority when it comes to the relationship I have with Sukumar.
Q: About the camera work for this movie?
A: The technicality used for this movie is very simple. We utilized the natural lighting. The movie has come out well as we have done using natural lights.
Q: How did you opt for a location to shoot in a particular scene?
A: I read the script and I understood every role in this movie. I then look for the proper location. We work together to coordinate the costumes and props. Then we tried to make necessary preparations for the better look and start filming.
Q: How do you keep yourself updated with the technology that changes every day?
A: I read a lot of books. I surf the internet and I keep a trail about the latest technicalities. I go around, talk to the other technicians and try to apply it in my work.
Q: There is a talk that there is adult content in this flick. What do you have to say about this?
A: No. That is just an assumption by the people. Yes, it is very youthful indeed but you may watch the movie with the entire family.
